The Classic Car Trust

We are dedicated to fostering the heritage, enjoyment, and preservation of classic cars in a fast-moving world. Our aim is to create a trusted platform, made by collectors for collectors, aficionados, and experts. A place to meet and share knowledge.

Origins and Inspiration

Fritz Kaiser founded The Classic Car Trust in 2013 and launched it as the main sponsor of the Mille Miglia in 2014. His aim was to create a trusted platform, made by collectors for collectors, aficionados, and experts. A place to meet and share knowledge.

He is an enthusiastic and serious collector of iconic sports cars of the ‘50s and ‘60s, and he has a personal understanding of the needs of collectors. He knows that though buying and owning classic cars is a lot of fun, it can also be a headache. His business interests at Kaiser Partner include a trust company that dates back to 1931, which serves very affluent families from around the world. He started to use the company’s services to handle cross-border transactions, legal, tax, insurance, customs, banking and administrative matters associated with his car collection; and soon the “Kaiser Collector Office” became a kind of family office that also helped establish the right ownership structure and succession solution for these emotional assets. In recent years, Fritz Kaiser has opened up the “Collector Office” to fellow collectors looking for their own bespoke, cross-border solutions.

2016 and beyond

From 2016 onwards, The Classic Car Trust supported various events, but its main work centered on a study of the global classic car market. It invested in serious research aimed at developing comprehensive, professional intelligence about the classic car collector community, the most important cars, and their caretakers.

Top of the Classic Car World

In May 2018, The Classic Car Trust starts sharing its market knowledge with the community by launching the first edition of an annual publication called “The Key – Top of the Classic Car World”, which includes the first-ever systematic ranking of the top 100 collectors in the world. The Key is part of a series of The Classic Car Trust initiatives designed to support the classic car market on the road to a sustainable future.
