The Mille Miglia is rich of both history and stories. The main actors are cars like the winner of 1950, a Ferrari 166 MM/195 S Berlinetta Le Mans. With passionate collectors and skilled restorers some of these automobile icons have survived.

In the early 2000’s, classic car collector Jack Croul rediscovered the car and commissioned Paul Russell to restore it. The well-known expert from Massachusetts (US) managed to turn this vintage Ferrari in a winner at Concours in Pebble Beach and Villa d’Este as well as successfully participating in the historic re-enactment of the Mille Miglia in Italy. “No compromises are required” says Paul Russell about creating a restoration that performs at rallys as well as excites the judges at Concours and clarifies: “To me, a restoration involves more than improving the cosmetic appearance. The car must also work as originally intended.”
