2018 Tour Auto reaches the Alps
With the stage from Paris to Besancon behind them, participants in the 2018 Tour Auto have now reached the Alps. Winding side roads took them first through the Franche Comté region and the central Jura mountains, while the obligatory racetrack stop was at the Circuit de Bresse, where the cars engaged in a battle against the clock. Then it was on over the famous French Alpine Pass of Col Des Aravis to Megève, right in the middle of the Alps south of Lake Geneva. The day’s final destination between Chamonix and Albertville is better known for its skiing, but with the arrival of the Tour Auto, classic cars were the only show in town.
